Hi, im thinking of buying PLAY TV buh i think ive got a problem PLEASE HELP!!?

im gonna buy play tv for playstation 3 which enables me to watch tv on my ps3 however, my ariel picks up the 4 main channles buh not very good quality, does this mean it will not find many channels on the play tv box? do i need a "booster thingy"?
