I prefer to walk on my tiptoes when I'm feeling dainty. Are there any types of shoes to accommodate this?

I'd just go with the half soles or lyric sandals if I wanted some kind of minimal sole. The protect the part of your sole that you want to protect while letting you enjoy the freedom of going barefoot. They're made of real leather so yes, they are durable. I'd really I'd rather just go barefoot myself, though. Don't even consider Vibrams, you look like a total clown in those and people will notice a lot more than if you just go barefoot.
