I NEED YOUR ADVICE AND OPINIONS PLS.. LAWYERS, BARRISTERS, LAW STUDENTS, POLICE OFFICERS, CPS - ANYONE?!!?

One word. Politics. Think about it. Your boyfriend is a cop. If the evidence is as you say your boyfriend did nothing wrong and the charges will either be dropped (he definitely won't be convicted). Somethings missing I mean they are probably trying to do a thorough investigation to avoid public outcry...(I hate tabloids). An this is you know a perfect story for the tabloids. Cop drinking with friends beats up drunk guy. (I know that didn't happen but that probably what the tabloids would say) Most likely they are trying to cover all their bases. Sticky situation unless you've seen the videotapes though or know that what your boyfriend said is true based on evidence not just trust....he may not be telling you something. Just a guess. Hope i'm wrong though. Look if your boyfriend is innocent don't worry. Hopefully he'll be out soon.
