My football coach demands the whole football team to get mohawks? is he obligated and is it legal to do this?

he threatens that if all of us don't get it, it'll kick us off. he and the other coaches will get mohawks if we win our league. this is high school btw. he says that mohawks makes the school recognize us as unity or some **** like that. no one is a different individual blahblahblah u get the point. i just want to know if its legal and is it considered hazing?
