Bats and blood suckers?

There are two vampire bats, Desmodus rotundus and D. rufus. They are in the family Desmodontidae, in the order Chiroptera. BTW, our housecats are Felis domestica or F. catus. Also, vampire bats don't suck blood. They make an incision, then lap up the blood that flows out. Their saliva contains an anticoagulent, so the blood does not clot.
